Legal Issues
If you are caught riding unlicensed on an unregistered bike without greenslip (CTP) insurance, you're likely to get the Trifecta of fines, currently costing $1899.00
Also the owner of the bike may be fined for allowing a rider to ride it.
A second offence gets expensive and can be really inconvenient.
Riding in the street, in a local park or in a National Park or Forestry area, it's all the same. If you're under age, your parents will have the problem.
Having CTP (greenslip) insurance is going to help protect you (or your parents) from being sued for injuries caused to someone you hurt, like someone you run into. Without CTP, the lawyers may just take your house.
